Chinese President Interviewed by Russian Press

Chinese President Hu Jintao answered questions on Sino-Russian ties and a range of other issues during an interview Friday with Russia's Interfax News Agency and State TV & Radio Broadcasting Company (RTR).

The president also responded to journalists' questions on the Iraq issue, the nuclear issue in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and China's prevention and treatment of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) epidemic.

Among the interviewers were Renat Abdullin, first deputy director general of Interfax, and Andrey Bystritskiy, vice-chairman of the RTR.
