China Sets up Hotline to Address Concerns due to Postponed TOEFL

China has set up a hotline to offer consulting services to those wishing to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and the Test of Professional English(TOPE), both were postponed due to the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), sources with the Ministry of Education said here Thursday.

China has set up a hotline to offer consulting services to those wishing to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and the Test of Professional English(TOPE), both were postponed due to the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), sources with the Ministry of Education said here Thursday.

The TOEFL test, with nearly 30,000 Chinese examinees, has been postponed from May 10 to Aug. 23.

Examinees who would not take the test it in August can request a refund of the application fee through the official website www.51test.com.
