May 9 saw two pirating cases of Tibetan antelopes uncovered in one day at the bordering areas of Qinghai and Xinjiang by the major mountain patrolling troupe under the Kekexili National Nature Reserve Bureau.
They succeeded in catching two groups of unlawful armed hunters of 9 suspects, seizing a total of over 700 antelope skins in all and some small-bore rifles, vehicles and gasoline as well as some other tools used in pirating.
This is the most serious case of armed pirating the Tibetan antelopes uncovered in the "depopulated zone" ever since the setting up of the Kekexili National Nature Reserve Bureau.
As learned a great number of the antelopes pirated by them are the female ones big with their young ones and so the total ruthlessly killed can reach 1000 of them at least if counting the young cubs in their bellies.
