Chinese Vice-premier to Attend 56th World Health Assembly

Chinese Vice-Premier and Health Minister Wu Yi will lead a Chinese delegation to attend the 56th World Health Assembly from May 19 to 28 in Geneva, Switzerland.

Chinese Vice-Premier and Health Minister Wu Yi will lead a Chinese delegation to attend the 56th World Health Assembly from May 19 to 28 in Geneva, Switzerland.

The World Health Assembly, the top organ of power of the World Health Organization (WHO), is convened annually to discuss important issues concerning public health.

The Chinese government attached great importance to the role of the WHO in the field of public health across the world and enjoyed long-term friendly cooperation with the WHO, said a Foreign Ministry source.
