Foreign Leaders Support China's Fight against SARS
Foreign government leaders and officials have expressed respectively their firm support to the Chinese government and people in their fight against severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), the Foreign Ministry said on Friday.

Cuban President Fidel Castro, through Havana's embassy in Beijing, expressed his full support to China in its fight against SARS, adding that Cuba is ready to offer assistance in all forms.
In a message to Chinese President Hu Jintao, Georgian President Eduard Shevardnadze highly praised the effective measures taken by the Chinese government against SARS virus. He expressed the hope that Chinese government and people would certainly win the victory against SARS and China's economy would keep on developing at a high-level speed.
Prime Minister of Lesotho Pakalitha Mosisili said in a message to Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao that his government admired the Chinese government and people for their efforts to control and eradicate SARS disease, hoping SARS victims will be fully recovered as soon as possible.
Foreign diplomatic mission to Beijing also expressed their sympathy for the Chinese people and sincerely hoped that SARS epidemic would be brought under control in the near future.
In a related development, the government of Sudan has donated 100,000 yuan (about 12,000 US dollars) to help China fight against SARS.
