Chinese President Removes, Appoints Diplomatic Envoys

Chinese President Hu Jintao has removed and appointed the following ambassadors according to decisions made by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress:

Chinese President Hu Jintao has removed and appointed the following ambassadors according to decisions made by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress:

Removed as ambassadors of the People's Republic of China were:

- Song Aiguo, from the Republic of Cyprus;

- Xiong Zhanqi, from the Kingdom of Morocco;

- Wang Yongqiu, from the United Republic of Tanzania;

- Zhao Zhenyu, from Papua New Guinea;

- Guo Chongli, from Jamaica; and

- Du Qiwen, from the Republic of Kenya.

Meanwhile, appointed as ambassadors of the People's Republic of China were:

- Zhang Limin, to the Republic of Cyprus;

- Cheng Tao, to the Kingdom of Morocco;

- Yu Qingtai, to the United Republic of Tanzania;

- Li Zhengjun, to Papua New Guinea;

- Zhao Zhenyu, to Jamaica;

- Guo Chongli, to the Republic of Kenya.
