China Seizes Inter-regional Drug Smuggling Ring
Police in Pingdingshan city of central China's Henan Province have, after over two months of investigations, cracked an inter-regional drug smuggling case, seizing eight drug trafficker suspects and more than 1,000 grams of heroin.
Police in Pingdingshan city of central China's Henan Province have, after over two months of investigations, cracked an inter-regional drug smuggling case, seizing eight drug trafficker suspects and more than 1,000 grams of heroin.
A local farmer living in the city tipped off police when he heard that six drug dealers from northwest China's Shaanxi province and southwestern Yunnan province were coming to Pingdingshan on April 23 to meet with Wang Fusheng.
When Ren Erzhou and Su Hongwei, two drug dealers from Shaanxi province, came to buy heroin from the Yunnan dug dealers at the residence of Wang in the evening of April 23, police captured themon the spot. Some 450 grams of heroin were also seized at Wang's home.
On the same evening, police arrested Bai Shizhong, a driver whocame to Pingdingshan with Bai Hua, one of the drug dealers from Yunnan, and seized some 500 grams of highly pure heroin from the driver's car.
On the following morning, police caught a suspect who was waiting for another drug dealer from Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxiprovince.
