Chinese Mainland Reports 4,698 SARS Cases
The accumulative severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) cases in the Chinese mainland rose to 4,698 cases as of 10:00 a.m. Thursday, according to the statistics released by the Ministry of Health.
The cumulative cases of severe acuterespiratory syndrome (SARS) on the Chinese mainland rose to 4,698 by 10:00 a.m. May 8, the Ministry of Health reported Thursday.
Of the total cases, 1,529 patients had been discharged from hospitals upon recovery and 224 died.
The Chinese mainland also reported a total of 2,648 suspected cases meanwhile.
