PLO Rejects Israeli Preconditions over Roadmap
The Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) on Tuesday called on the US administration to disregard the Israeli preconditions concerning the implementation of the Roadmap.
The Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) on Tuesday called on the US administration to disregard the Israeli preconditions concerning the implementation of the Roadmap.
The committee said that Israeli amendments and preconditions would abort all the exerted efforts and aims at ending all means of resuming peace talks.
The committee called on the US administration to exert more pressure on Israel in order to practice its commitments as agreed upon in the Roadmap.
The PLO central committee members held a meeting chaired by Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat on Tuesday to discuss the outcomes of the meetings held previously by Palestinian National Authority (PNA) Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas and US Middle East envoy WilliamBurns.
Burns arrived at the Middle East on Sunday in a tour that aims at discussing timetables and mechanisms for the implementation of the Roadmap, which was formally published last week.
