Anti-SARS Supplies Shipment Donated by San Francisco Chinese Arrives
A shipment of anti-SARS supplies donated by people of the Chinese descent and overseas Chinese living in San Francisco arrived in Beijing Sunday afternoon.
A shipment of anti-SARS supplies donated by people of the Chinese descent and overseas Chinese living in San Francisco arrived in Beijing Sunday afternoon.
The supplies, comprising 30 boxes holding 200 exposure suits, gauze masks, thermometers, and disinfectants, arrived on Air China flight CA986.
"We are grateful for the generous support of San Francisco Chinese and free transport provided by Air China," said Zhou Dong, an official in charge of logistics with the Beijing anti-SARS working group.
Yang Dongchuan, the commander of Flight CA986, said that his crew members are linked heart-to-heart with the people of the Chinese capital and expressed his conviction that the day is not far off when the complete victory is won in the fight against SARS epidemic.
