FIFA Relocates Women's World Cup out of China
World soccer body FIFA decided on Saturday to relocate the women's World Cup out of China because of the fear of SARS.

World soccer body FIFA decided on Saturday to relocate the women's World Cup out of China because of the fear of SARS.
FIFA said in a statement that its executive committee made the decision after examining advice from its medical committee during a meeting in Zurich.
Australia
and the
United States
have shown an interest in hosting the event, which was due to be staged in China from Sept. 23, the statement added.
However FIFA's executive committee announced that the 2007 women's World Cup would be awarded to China.
