British Foreign Office Minister Bill Rammell will voice concern over the nuclear issue of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) when holding talks here with a visiting delegation from the DPRK on Wednesday, a Foreign Office spokesman said.

The delegation, led by DPRK Vice Foreign Minister Choe Su-hon, is in London for the opening of the DPRK embassy on Wednesday morning, the spokesman said.

Rammell was quoted earlier by reports as saying that during histalks with Choe, he would urge the DPRK to "follow through, to genuinely engage, to demonstrate that they do not have nuclear weapons."

"We need some straight talking," Rammell said. "It really is time now for actions."

The DPRK nuclear issue flared up last October when US senior officials alleged that the DPRK had admitted it had a secret nuclear weapon program.

The United States later suspended its oil shipment to the DPRK while the latter announced it would reactivate the frozen nuclear facilities for electricity production.

The DPRK also pulled out from the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty on Jan. 10.

Britain established diplomatic relations with the DPRK in 2000.
