Shenzhen Lowers Charges on Service Sector

The City Government of Shenzhen,Guangdong Province, has lowered levies on hotels, restaurants, retailers, and tourism facilities which have been badly hit by SARS.

The city government of Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, has lowered levies on hotels, restaurants, retailers, and tourism facilities which have been badly hit by SARS.

From May 1, these businesses will be partly exempted of some administrative charges regarding sanitary issues, according to a decree issued by city authorities.

Beginning April 1, fares on the use of land and power will also be reduced and companies would be able to apply for delayed payment of taxes.

Meanwhile, city authorities have continued efforts to make all local residents aware of the epidemic.
