HK Trade Fair Provides New Choice for Attendees
The April Trade Fair organized by the Trade Development Council (TDC) kicked off Monday in Hong Kong with 350 exhibitors taking part in to explore business chances in a special period of SARS spreading.
The April Trade Fair organized by the Trade Development Council (TDC) kicked off Monday in Hong Kong with 350 exhibitors taking part in to explore business chances in a special period of SARS spreading.
The three traditional events, the Hong Kong Houseware Fair, theHong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair and the Hong Kong Licensing Show and Conference, are held jointly until May 1.
Among the world's leading industry events, these shows are tiedto global buying and production cycles. They are also important tothe business plans of Hong Kong small and medium-sized enterprisesand overseas buyers.
Organizers provided choices of participating the current session or a July trade fair. The TDC said full details will be announced early next week and it will contact exhibitors individually.
The spokesman for the TDC said the Council will make full use of its multimedia internet platform, tdctrade.com, which receives up to five million hits per day, to augment global exposure for exhibitors at the fairs, in addition to other value-added services.
He said the TDC has also secured other space during this summerto stage the supplement fairs. Many medical experts predict the virus will fade away in early summer, when business will come backwith rebound.
"We will let exhibitors decide which fairs to attend," the spokesman said, noting the TDC will also mount global campaigns supplying information to attract more businessmen to Hong Kong.
