Chinese Insurance Companies Agree to Compensate SARS Patients

Insurance companies in China said they will settle claims by SARS patients who hold their health coverage policies.

Insurance companies in China said they will settle claims by SARS patients who hold their health coverage policies.

The China Insurance Regulatory Commission said Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome has been officially approved as an infectious disease, and insurance companies should act promptly to settle claims accordingly.

It said insurance companies in Beijing, Shanghai and Shengzhen are dealing with the work and more SARS patients will have their claims accepted.
