Bayi Rockets Claims Seventh CBA Championship Title

Bayi Rockets won the seventh Chinese Basketball Association championship title in eight years after beating Guangdong South China Tigers 119-110 to win the finals 3-1 in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province Wednesday.

Bayi Claims 7th CBA Title
Bayi Rockets won the seventh Chinese Basketball Association championship title in eight years after beating Guangdong South China Tigers 119-110 to win the finals 3-1 in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province Wednesday.

The armymen led 37-25 in the first quarter. Led by veteran Liu Yudong, who scored a team-high 30 points, including six three-pointers, Bayi increased the gap to 16 points, to race to 66-50 by half time. Li Nan and Li Ke added 23 points each as the Rockets entered the last quarter with a comfortable 95-77 lead. Though the Tigers fought back and won the fourth period 33-24, it was too little and too late.
