Three US Marines Killed in Grenade Accident in Iraq

Three US marines were killed in an explosion near the Iraqi city of Al-Kut, the Al-Arabiya TV channel reported on Wednesday.

Three US marines were killed in an explosion near the Iraqi city of Al-Kut, the Al-Arabiya TV channel reported on Wednesday.

According to reports, a statement issued by the US Central Command in Qatar said that the three marines were killed Tuesday evening when a rocket-propelled grenade launcher they were using malfunctioned.

Seven other marines were injured in the accident, the statement said, adding that an investigation is underway.
