Large Dock Put into Operation in Northern China

A dock handling petrochemical product carriers up to 150,000 dead weight tonnage was put into operation this week in Tianjin Port, north China.

A dock handling petrochemical product carriers up to 150,000 dead weight tonnage was put into operation this week in Tianjin Port, north China.

Breaking ground in April 2001 with a total investment of 160 million yuan (19.3 million US dollars), the first large dock in Tianjin Port has an annual handling capacity of 8.5 million tons of liquid products.

The new dock is expected to play an important role in supplyingoil products to northern China.
