One More Dies of SARS in China, Death Toll up to 65
One more person has been confirmed dead of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome or SARS in south China's Guangdong Province, pushing the official death toll on the Chinese mainland to 65.
One more person has been confirmed dead of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome or SARS in south China's Guangdong Province, pushing the official death toll on the Chinese mainland to 65.
In the latest report by the Ministry of Health, 4 new cases were found in Guangdong, 5 in northern Shanxi Province, 3 in Beijing, and one in Inner Mongolia, bringing the total number of SARS cases to 1445.
Most of the cases are in Guangdong province. And apart from Beijing and Shanghai, there are also infection reports from north China's Shanxi and Inner Mongolia, the central province of Hunan, southern province of Fujian and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, as well as Sichuan province in the southwest.
