Chinese Minister of Commerce Lu Fuyuan exchanged views Wednesday with Clark T. Randt, US ambassador to China, on Sino-US trade and economic relations.

Lu said bilateral trade had developed continuously and economic cooperation between China and the United States had expanded in recent years.

There were still some major issues, however, requiring the attention and concerted efforts of the two sides, he stressed.

Lu expressed his belief that Sino-US trade and economic relations would further develop in the future through strengthening exchanges and cooperation.

Randt said he agreed with Lu, and would made his own efforts for further trade and economic cooperation between the two sides.
