China to Hold Second Commerce Development Forum
The second China Commerce Development Forum is scheduled to be held from May 11 to 13 to discuss new trends in the Chinese commerce industry after WTO entry.
The second China Commerce Development Forum is scheduled to be held from May 11 to 13 to discuss new trends in the Chinese commerce industry after WTO entry.
The commerce industry has been undergone drastic changes with increasing capital action and new services in retailing and logistics since China formally entered the World Trade Organization, said He Jihai, president of the China General Chamber of Commerce, the forum's sponsor, on Wednesday.
The forum is aimed to offer a platform for commercial enterprises, including retailers and manufacturers, to exchange ideas on industrial development and how to survive it and to learnthe latest government polices, the chamber president added.
Claimed to be the largest of its kind in China, the forum will be at the joint sponsorship of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and the China General Chamber of Commerce.
The forum is expected to be attended by more than 1,000 business people from leading retailers and manufacturers and officials with relevant administrations.
