China will take temporary anti-dumping measures against styrene butadiene rubber from April 16, according to a report issued Tuesday by the Ministry of Commerce.
Importers of styrene butadiene rubber from Russia, the Republicof Korea and Japan should pay cash deposits to Chinese customs according to dumping profit margins laid down in the report.
China initiated an anti-dumping investigation with regard to styrene butadiene rubber, a chemical raw material for tires and other rubber products, produced in Russia, the ROK and Japan, on March 19, 2002.
According to the final investigation and relevant Chinese anti-dumping regulations, the Ministry of Commerce judged that dumping did take place, the imports did cause substantial damage to China's domestic industry and there was a causal relationship between the dumping and the damage.
