China's Largest Trade Fair to Open on Tuesday in Guangdong
The 93rd China Export Commodities Fair will open as scheduled on April 15 in Guangzhou, the capital of south China's Guangdong Province, Governor Huang Huahua declared at Monday's reception.
The 93rd China Export Commodities Fair will open as scheduled on April 15 in Guangzhou, the capital of south China's Guangdong Province, Governor Huang Huahua declared at Monday's reception.
Lu Fuyuan, Minister of Commerce, attending the reception, said that China's largest trade fair has become a major international event featuring a wide range of commodities since its inception about half a century ago.
The governor welcomed all business people and organizations attending the fair. He said that the SARS epidemic has been effectively controlled in Guangdong and that it is safe to work and live in the province.
The fair will be held in two phases. The first, from April 15 to 20, will highlight raw materials, machinery and tools, electronics and electrical appliances, textiles and garments, foodstuffs, livestock, medicine and health care products.
The second phase, from April 25 to 30, will showcase home furnishings, gifts, decorative commodities, office supplies and outdoor commodities.
