Legend Topped Domestic PC Market, Handsome a Surprising Third

The marketing share of Legend, Founder and Handsome are listed in order the top three. The marketing share of Legend takes up 37percent, far more than the other two; that of Founder, a share of 11 percent, occupying the second place while Handsome accounts for 9.1 percent elbowing into the Top Three for the first time.

China General Chamber of Commerce (the former Domestic Trade Bureau) and Chinese National Commercial Information Center have lately held a press release on 2002 marketing statistic information of nearly 70 kinds of goods.

According to the information, the marketing share of Legend, Founder and Handsome are listed in order the top three. The marketing share of Legend takes up 37percent, far more than the other two; that of Founder, a share of 11 percent, occupying the second place while Handsome accounts for 9.1 percent elbowing into the Top Three for the first time.

Legend Ltd. is the pacesetter of the Chinese IT industry while Founder Ltd. a renowned one in the market. So, it's not a surprise to see them take the first two places in the 2002 market survey. However, it is a surprise to Handsome Ltd. squeeze into the Top Three. Nowadays, the domestic PC market has become greatly matured, and there is a rare chance for a "black sheep" such as Handsome to strike a wonder, and so Handsome Phenomena worth of being mused upon.

The present achievement is by no means accomplished in one day, said Mr. Zhang Shuguang, President of Handsome Ltd. when receiving our interview, that the knack of success is very simple, namely you must hold on and on. In his opinions, sticking to its own individuality and market status is the most difficult problem to handle when creating an independent brand.

As for Handsome, it must adhere to the principle of "Good Performance PC, City PC" and never abandon it. President Zhang Shuguang made a good analog by saying, "developing a company is like climbing a mountain. Although it is not very high, it is necessary for us to go upward step by step. By working assiduously, Handsome has stricken a success as seen today."
