Group Fighting Kills 2, Injures 71 in India
Two people were killed and 71 others injured in brick-batting by mobs and subsequent police firing during group conflicts in India's east state of Orissa Friday evening, the Press Trust of India (PTI) reported on Saturday.

Police fired 15 rounds to bring under control the two groups ofpeople indulging in heavy brick-batting in Sundergarh district of the state, the agency quoted a police officer as saying.
While one person died on the spot after the police firing, the other succumbed to injuries in a hospital, PTI said.
The fighting began when a procession carrying the idol of "Hanuman" during a religious festival was passing through a minority-dominated area near the Rourkela town.
