Beijing has passed 36 regulations this year to reduce investment cost in the Chinese capital and shape a transparent and efficient government, Beijing Vice-Mayor Zhang Mao said Wednesday.
According to Vice-Mayor Zhang Mao, the 36 new measures will help clear up administrative ratification procedures, straighten up annual inspections and report forms and regulate charging items.
To this end, the government will promote a transparent administrative environment, upgrade the one-station service and set up an administration service center to encompass all departments with ratification functions.
The service center will publicize department functions, service procedures, ratification terms, time limits and charging standards.
Beijing has cut its civil servants from 8,082 to 4,041 in all its municipal departments except the public security section. The government has stressed the importance of standardizing the work of the civil servants.
Beijing is also ready to reform its tax system and reduce land use cost, according to the government.
