Chinese Travel Agencies Promote Egypt Tours to Help Iraqi Children
Four Chinese travel agencies and Egyptian Wings Tours launched "the Egypt sponsorship tourist group" Wednesday, donating 500 yuan (62 US dollars) in the name of each tourist to the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) to help Iraqi children.

Two sponsorship tour groups will set out on April 29 and May 2.Officials from the Chinese embassy in Egypt, the Egyptian Tourism Administration and UNICEF's Egyptian office will take part in banquet in Egypt on May 3.
Nearly 300 Chinese tourists are expected to join the groups, in order to appreciate the long history, culture and hospitality of Egypt.
Chinese people have been concerned about the ongoing war in Iraq and the travel agencies have called for contributions to Iraqi children who are suffering, said Chen Yan, deputy general manager of Beijing Tourist Group International Travel and Tours.
The trip would be a non-profit activity, reflecting the social responsibility of Chinese tour operators, said Dong Ruping, deputy general manager of China Comfort Travel.
