Pakistani Foreign Minister Khursihd Mahmud Kasuri said Wednesday in Islamabad that the government will tighten its relations with China.
The foreign minister said in a debate in the Senate that it will be the policy of the Pakistani government to further increase the "warmth and vitality" of relations with China, Iran and Russia.
Kasuri said the government of Prime Minister Zafarullah Khan Jamali has been pro-active in its foreign policy.
"Our priorities are to promote peace and stability in the region and a just resolution of Kashmir dispute, strengthening brotherly ties with all Islamic countries, reinforcing the time-tested friendship with China and promoting relations with other major powers including the United States, European Union and Japan," added the minister.
