Ethiopia Opens Honorary Consulate in Hong Kong

The Ethiopian Foreign Ministry confirmed Wednesday that Ethiopia has opened an honorary consulate in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) of China.

The Ethiopian Foreign Ministry confirmed Wednesday that Ethiopia has opened an honorary consulate in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) of China.

The ministry noted that the consulate was officially opened in Hong Kong on March 27 in the presence of HKSAR Secretary for Justice Elsie Leung Oi-sie, Ji Peiding, commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China in the HKSAR, and representatives of the business community in Hong Kong.

The Ethiopian ministry believed that the opening of the consulate has a significant importance in further enhancing the growing Ethio-Hong Kong economic and tourism ties.
