Chinese Table Tennis Team Gear up for World Championships
The Chinese national table tennis team began Wednesday in Shijiazhuang the last stage of their preparations for the world championships set for next month in France.

The team arrived on Tuesday in a camp near this capital city ofnorthern Chinese province Hebei, for a month-long closed-door training session.
The world individual championships are set for May 19-25 in Paris.
The Chinese national team consists of 28 players, 11 coaches and a group of supporting staffs.
The pre-tournament training will focus on consolidating what the players had achieved in an earlier training camp in Xiamen, southeastern China, said Cai Zhenhua, the national team's head coach.
Efforts will be made for players to get more familiar with the new competition rules set by the sport's world governing body the International Table Tennis Federation, Cai said.
The training would be executed in a true-to-competition manner,the head coach added.
