Iraqi Companies to Take Part in Vietnam International Trade Fair

Despite the ongoing war on Iraqi, Iraqi companies will take part in the 13th Vietnam International Trade Fair 2003 as scheduled, affirmed Nguyen Thanh Than, director of Vietnam Nation Trade Fair and Advertising Company.

Despite the ongoing war on Iraqi, Iraqi companies will take part in the 13th Vietnam International Trade Fair 2003 as scheduled, affirmed Nguyen Thanh Than, director of Vietnam Nation Trade Fair and Advertising Company.

During a press conference to introduce the fair Wednesday, Than said that according to the latest report of Iraqi Embassy in Vietnam, Iraqi companies are ready to take part in the fair, whichis scheduled to last from April 9-13, 2003.

The fair will comprise 650 stalls, including 300 foreign ones from 26 countries and regions. Of which, 100 Chinese enterprises and 6 Iraqi ones will join in the fair.

Preparation for the largest fair so far in Vietnam is being well carried out, Than noted, adding that atypical pneumonia and US-led war against Iraq have not greatly impacted to the fair.

Up to now, only two French companies and one Swiss have expressed their worries about their travelling by air to Vietnam via the Mideast region.
