Shanghai to Host ISF Soccer Championships in April

The eastern Chinese city Shanghai will host the 18th International Schoolsport Federation (ISF) soccer championships April 21-27, the organizers said Monday in Shanghai.

The eastern Chinese city Shanghai will host the 18th International Schoolsport Federation (ISF) soccer championships April 21-27, the organizers said Monday in Shanghai.

This will be the first time that such an ISF event be held in Asia.

The tournament has attracted a field of 25 male and 12 female teams from 25 countries and regions, the organizers said.

The participating teams are pooled into groups in the preliminary stage for single round-robin competitions and the second stage will see play-off actions to determine the final placings.
