DPRK Not to Give In to US: Media
The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) will not make any concessions to the United States, Rodong Sinmun, a newspaper run by the ruling Workers' Party of Korea, said in a signed article on Saturday.
The war on Iraq serves as a historical and serious lesson, which resulted from concessions to the US demand concerning the UNweapons inspections, it said.
"We can by no means accept inspections or disarmament as the United States demands. Otherwise, we will be reduced to the same miserable fate as current Iraq," the paper noted.
"If we make one concession to the imperialists, they will impose a hundred and even a thousand requests upon us," it added.
Iraq's fate has proved that compromises or concessions to the imperialists will undermine a nation's dignity and sovereignty andlead to its eventual death, the article stressed.
"The army-based principle is our foremost lifeline" in face ofUS aggressive acts against the DPRK, the paper said.
