The first China Zhuhai Auto Fair opened Friday in Zhuhai City, one of China's five special economic zones, in Guangdong Province.
Businessmen representing more than 60 Chinese auto makers, as well as automobile sales agents and traders attended the fair.
Some 300 motor vehicles, such as the Volkswagen Santana and Jetta made by Chinese auto makers, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche andFerrari made by foreign auto makers, motorcycles, and accessories,are on display.
Visitors can test drive cars or motorcycles, said a spokesman for the fair, which has 16,000 square meters of indoor exhibition space and 60,000 square meters for outdoor displays.
The fair, jointly sponsored by five Chinese partners, including the China Automotive Industry Association and Zhuhai city government, will run until April 1.
