Ukrainian President to Visit Hong Kong
President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma will lead a group of some 30 key Ukrainian entrepreneurs and major officials to visit Hong Kong next week, Hong Kong Trade Development Council (TDC) said Thursday.
President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma will lead a group of some 30 key Ukrainian entrepreneurs and major officials to visit Hong Kong next week, Hong Kong Trade Development Council (TDC) said Thursday.
With an aim to enhance trade and business relations between Hong Kong and Ukraine, the Ukrainian League of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, visiting Hong Kong with the President, will sign a cooperation agreement with the TDC.
During the visit, Hong Kong companies will be able to explore business opportunities with the delegates from Ukraine, the spokesman for TDC said.
Hong Kong and Ukraine have maintained good economic relations for these years. In 2002, a total of 134 million Hong Kong dollars(17 million US dollars) worth of goods and raw materials were imported from Ukraine, up 614 percent from the previous year.
