The Australian Associated Press reported that Freelance cameraman Paul Moran, 39, was working for the Australian Broadcast Corporation (ABC) and killed instantly when the taxi exploded next to him in the northern town of Sayed Sadiq while ABC correspondent Eric Campbell survived the attack.

Nine other people were injured in the bombing.

According to the report, security officials of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan said they believed the Ansar al-Islam group, which Washington claimed has links with al-Qaeda, was responsible for the bombing outside the village of Khurmal which was targeted by cruise missiles early Saturday.
