The report quoted Royal Air Force Group Captain Al Lockwood as saying at Camp As-Saliyah, the Qatar command and control headquarters of U.S. and British forces in the Gulf, that he had been told by London that all seven crew members on board the helicopters have died.
Earlier in the day, Lockwood told Sky News that the two Sea King airborne early warning helicopters collided mid-air at around4:30 a.m. local time (0130GMT) and an investigation was underway.
Meanwhile, Britain's Ministry of Defense said in London that nocrew members aboard the helicopters had yet been found in a searchand rescue operation.
