Iraqi Information Minister Mohammad al-Sahaf said Friday that the residence compound of President Saddam Hussein was targeted by US forces, but Saddam's family was safe.

Iraqi Information Minister Mohammad al-Sahaf said Friday that the residence compound of President Saddam Hussein was targeted by US forces, but Saddam's family was safe.

Saddam has not be hurt though his palace was hit by US-British missile attacks, Sahaf said.
