CAAC Invites Taiwan Airlines to Use Emergency Air Routes
The General Administration of Civil Aviation of China (CAAC) Friday issued a statement saying it welcomes Taiwanese airlines, if necessary, to make emergency use of air routes China has opened to central Asia and Europe.

A senior official of the Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office under the administration said in the statement that the United States and some other countries launched military actions against Iraq on March 20. For the sake of the safety of civil flights, CAAC welcomes Taiwanese airlines to make emergency use of air routes the mainland has opened to central Asia and Europe, if necessary.
The official added the relevant departments on the mainland are willing to provide safe and high quality aviation services for Taiwanese aircraft.
He urged Taiwan airlines to make applications to the aviation departments on the mainland as soon as possible.
