British Queen Elizabeth II Thursday sent a message to British troops deployed in the Gulf, expressing her wishes that the military actions they were carrying out could be "swift and decisive."
British Queen Elizabeth II Thursday sent a message to British troops deployed in the Gulf, expressing her wishes that the military actions they were carrying out could be "swift and decisive."
"My thoughts are with you all, and with your families and friends who wait at home for news and pray for your safe return," said Queen Elizabeth II.
"May your courage stay steady and true, and your conduct in thehighest traditions of your service both in waging war and bringingpeace," she said.
Meanwhile, British Defense Secretary Geoff Hoon announced that Prime Minister Tony Blair would make a national address once the UK troops engaged in the attacks to topple Iraqi President Saddam Hussein .
