Wen Says Diversified Ownership of Banks a Certain Trend

Premier Wen Jiabao said Tuesday that with the supervision continuing to improve, diversified ownership will be a certain trend for Chinese banks, but will go through a fairly long period of time.

He said China has only a history of a dozen years in building commercial banks in true sense, and that share-holding banks have already emerged.
