The Chinese Embassy in Baghdad began evacuation Monday amid tense atmosphere of a looming war.
Chinese Ambassador Zhang Weiqiu and other six embassy officials will leave.
The evacuation also includes six Chinese correspondents -- two from the state Xinhua News Agency, three from CCTV and one from Hong Kong.
Greek and Swiss diplomats are reported to withdraw as well from Baghdad on Monday. The German Embassy is already closed down.
Large numbers of foreign journalists are also packing up to leave ahead of a seemingly approaching war.
