Six Palestinians were killed Friday by Israeli forces who raided a refugee camp in the West Banktown of Jenin, Palestinian sources said.
At least 10 Israeli tanks and armored personnel carriers moved into the camp in northern West Bank early Friday and opened fire ata house used by the Palestinian militant group Islamic Jihad, the sources said.
Palestinian militants inside the house exchanged fire with Israeli soldiers. Palestinian sources said that six militants were killed in the raid, including four Islamic Jihad members and one members of the radical Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades linked to the Fatah movement of Palestinian Liberation Organization.
Israeli military confirmed the raid, adding that at least four of the killed were high on Israel's list of fugitives.
