CPPCC Session Holds Third Plenary Meeting

The ongoing First Session of the Tenth National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) held its third full-member meeting Monday afternoon.

The ongoing First Session of the Tenth National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) held its third full-member meeting Monday afternoon.

Fourteen CPPCC members made speeches on a number of major issues including the strategy of developing the nation through science and education, agriculture, rural areas and farmers, the payment of employees, the assistance to ethnic minorities and the disabled, and the reunification of the motherland.

Jia Qinglin, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chair of the executive chairmen's meetings of the presidium of the CPPCC session, attended the meeting.
