Port Call to Shanghai by Spanish Naval Training Vessel

The Spanish naval training vessel, Juan Sebastian De Elcano, under the command of Captain Santiago Bolibar Pineiro, arrived in Shanghai Saturday morning for a five-day visit.

The Spanish naval training vessel, Juan Sebastian De Elcano, under the command of Captain Santiago Bolibar Pineiro, arrived in Shanghai Saturday morning for a five-day visit.

Senior Colonel Jiang Zhongliang, deputy chief-of-staff of Shanghai Naval Base, held a welcome ceremony.

After the arrival, Senior Colonel Jiang Weilie and Shanghai Vice Mayor Feng Guoqin met with the officers.

During their stay in Shanghai, the officers will see a Chinese missile frigate, the city of Shanghai and will play football matches with Chinese seamen.
