Huang Ju Stresses Strategy of Invigorating Nation by Developing Science

Huang Ju, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), stressed on Tuesday the importanceof sticking to the strategy of invigorating the nation by developing science and education.

Huang Ju, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), stressed on Tuesday the importance of sticking to the strategy of invigorating the nation by developing science and education.

Attending a group discussion of prominent scientists at the on-going first session of the 10th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Huang urged scientists and technicians to seize the strategic opportunities in the first two decades of the new century and accurately grasp the developments of science and technology in the world to map out medium- and long-term plans, deepen the reform of science and technology system, accelerate the pace of building an innovative system and increase the ability of making original innovations, and popularize science and technology across China so as to realize leaps in the development of science and technology.

He also stressed the importance of personnel training and importation of top scientists and technicians and senior management personnel from other countries and of encouraging outstanding personnel working abroad to return to start their own businesses or to serve the motherland.
