CPC Official Attends Group Discussion of CPPCC Members

Senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official Zeng Qinghong Tuesday calls on members of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) from trade unions, Communist Youth League, All-China Youth Federation and women's federation to contribute more in building China's well-off society by taping their advantages to the full.

Zeng, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, made the call while speaking at a joint panel discussion of members of the 10th CPPCC National Committee from the above social strata, held in Beijing during the first session of the committee.

Of the varies categories of CPPCC National Committee members, Zeng noted, members in the above four spheres have the broadest scope of relations and connections in society, which would land them in an advantageous position.

He asked them to contribute more to China's economic development by means of rallying people around them for China's revitalization drive, giving a full scope to their supervisory role and safeguarding interests of the masses of people.

Zeng also called on the people from these sectors to help the CPC and the government departments to do a good job with regard to the work among the masses of people, inform and educate them in the political lines and policies of the Party and care for their difficulties and hardships, and act as a bridge between the Party and the masses.

Overall, Zeng Qinghong encourage them to work still more closely with the Party and the government departments in various regions so as to play their part better still in turning China into a well-off society in an all-round way.
