Strong Aftershock Jolts Xinjiang County
A strong aftershock measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale hit Bachu county in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region at 8:27 a.m. Tuesday.

A strong aftershock measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale hit Bachu county in northwest China's
Xinjiang
Uygur Autonomous Region at 8:27 a.m. Tuesday.
Bachu and its neighboring county Jiashi were seriously affectedby a 6.8-degree earthquake on Feb. 24 which killed more than 260 people.
No casualties from the aftershock were reported in Bachu where disaster relief work is still ongoing in snowy and wet conditions.
