Pakistan on Monday again denied any involvement of foreign Agencies in Rawalpindi operation to nab suspected terrorist Khalid Shaikh Muhammad.
Talking to BBC, Interior Minister Faisal Saleh Hayat said here on Monday that no FBI man of the United States was involved in the operation, the Associated Press of Pakistan reported.
The minister was quoted as saying this is an operation of Pakistan agencies, adding that Pakistani agencies have been carrying out operations in the past and will continue to do so in future.
"We have carried out this operation for our own security concern. We shall continue to conduct such operations unless terrorism is rooted out in Pakistan," he said.
As for Khalid Shaikh's dual nationality, the minister said in the past few years it has not been very difficult to acquire Pakistani nationality. "We have taken precautionary measures in this connection. But Khalid Sheikh is not a Pakistani national," the minister affirmed.
Khalid Shaikh Mohammad, suspected to be al-Qaeda's important planner of the "9.11" attack and one of the most wanted by the United States, was nabbed in Rawalpindi together with three other suspected terrorists on Saturday.
