3,000 Reporters to Cover Annual NPC, CPPCC Sessions

A record 3,000 Chinese and foreign reporters have signed up to cover the annual sessions of the National People's Congress (NPC), China's legislature, and the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the country's top advisory body.

A record 3,000 Chinese and foreign reporters have signed up to cover the annual sessions of the National People's Congress (NPC), China's legislature, and the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the country's top advisory body.

To date, 2,000 reporters have signed up to cover the annual NPC session, according to the Press Center of the Annual Sessions of the NPC and the CPPCC National Committee.

The figure consists of 1,200 correspondents from China's interior areas, 260 from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and 500 from other countries.

So far, 1,100 Chinese and foreign correspondents have signed up to cover the annual CPPCC National Committee session.
